- Will Rowe (All the Way from Niagara Region) Will started strumming his mother's old Hawaiian guitar at around the age of 6. Will says "It was untuned and upside down, but I thought I was getting music out of it. My parents apparently didn't agree and I was quickly enrolled in Maesal Tremblayís School of Music of Kingston Ontario." Will began performing at highschool. Playing the euphonium and the trombone Will performed at the Worldís Fair in Spokane Washington in 1974. Also while in high school he performed in several bands playing guitar. Will played with various groups until the '80s, at which point he took a brief rest from music. However, daughter Emily relit the fire with her playing which brings Will to the current part of his musical journey. Top of Page |

| Aug 6 Johnny
Eden (All the way from the Yukon) Johnny Eden is a Canadian singer/songwriter/actor who has stretched himself across ten provinces and territories, from Whitehorse to Halifax, as well as a few states. In his wake are the emotionally satiated - fans that have had their attentions grabbed by devastating songs of loss and love, and upbeat spirit-lifters with simple, soulful, messages. Whether acting out a personal memory or becoming a character in one of his stories, Johnny is offering the spice of life: Variety. His stage show recalls the Renaissance, before the concepts of streamlining and assembly lines came to be, when performers could offer a little bit of everything. Everywhere Johnny goes he gathers appreciation, a cast of listeners that respect him for his songwriting, his voice, his tact on the guitar, and the emotion he brings. His ambitions are modest, his goals are basic: He would like a chance to live with music, have frequent visitors, and never run out of food. Top of Page NOTE: If you want to catch sneak preview of Johnny live, he is performing at Iridescent Music's Spring Fest on May 17. For details visit Hollywood on the Queensway |

Barrie Davis (All the Way from Australia) Barrie has been singing for as long as he can remember, starting as a child in school choirs. As a teenager he was attracted to the music of the skiffle era and then to the reviving folk music scene, with its strong protest element. His early musical influences included The Weavers, Joan Baez, Peter Paul & Mary and The Kingston Trio. As he grew up he developed the deep voice which was to become his trademark and the songs of Jim Reeves led to country music and later to artists such as Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson. In more recent times the work of artists such as Stan Rogers and Eric Bogle have influenced his style and choice of material. Top of Page These days his focus is on contemporary Australian folk music, plus of course his endless and unexplained fascination with railroad songs. As well as the more serious folk material he performs, he has a sense of humour which ranges from the impish to the macabre, with a collection of humorous songs to match. Top of Page He is now regularly touring outside Australia and building an international audience appreciative of his unique style. Top of Page |

| Nov 26 - Michael
Laderoute Top of Page Michael Laderoute is a long-time singer/songwriter based in Toronto. Michael started his career when he was still a boy at school. He spent all the recesses playing guitar and singing. It started out that he was serenaing a certain young lady, but he soon found he could make good money playing under everybodies class room. They would give him money to shut up. Undeterred by the harsh criticism and mocking comments, Michael soldiered on with his songwriting. He saved up enough to buy himself a really nice guittar, broke up with his wife and his career soared from then. He has toured extensively through the U.S. and in fact, that is where he met up with blues legend, Blind Lemon Davis. Michael spent some time with Blind Lemon, and they became good friends. Michael says he learned some of his best blues licks from Blind. Miachel is back in Toronto again, and has released a new - his only - CD. There is a rumour that his old pal, Blind Lemon Davis has been paroled and will be hosting Michael's show at the Buddha. |

| Dec 10 - Neil Rhodes,
Comedian In December 2002, Neil was pondering what he was going to do with the rest of his life. While browsing through a motivational book, he read one simple yet powerful question: “If you could do anything for the rest of your life, what would it be?” He immediately thought of stand-up comedy. After a few months of writing and preparation, Neil performed his first show on April 30, 2003, at a popular bar in downtown Toronto. Nervous in front of his 26 friends and family who came to see his debut, he started his set and soon had them and the crowd of strangers doubled over in laughter. At the end of his ten-minute show, Neil, after 27 years, knew for certain what he would do for the rest of his life. Today, Neil’s very clean act encompasses a witty brand of humour with a professional delivery. His topics range from his dating life, or lack thereof, to growing up in Toronto and current world events. Neil is dedicated to his craft of stand-up comedy; he performs or writes material every day. As of June 1, 2005, he has done well over 250 shows. Neil has not only had the pleasure of collaborating with some of Canada’s top comics but has also performed at some of the premier comedy clubs in North America. It won’t be long until he’s at a top comedy club near you. .....Top of Page |

| Wayne Scott Alan Wayne Scott was born in Toronto in 1950. He has been a lifelong advocate of environmentally responsible mobility, having never flown in an airplane or even applied for a drivers license. For the past 25 years he has been employed as a bike/foot messenger in his beloved hometown, gaining global noteriety for his successful legal challenge to Revenue Canada over the deductability of 'Food as Fuel' costs for human powered, urban delivery providers. He and his wife Katherine still reside in the heart of the city, with the eldest of their four grandchildren. He has also spent the past forty years on the periphery of the Toronto music scene, singing and playing in garage bands in the sixties, managing and creating promotional artwork for many local bands in the seventies, producing seminal albums and videos for legendary Canadian acts Whiskey Howl and Robbie Rox in the eighties, and writing and recording a number of original songs from a second volume of his own poetry - Out Here on the Street - throughout the nineties. He is currently continuing 10 years of work on his own debut CD, backed by an allstar line-up of his favourite musical collaborators, a group that he affectionately refers to as The Difficult Musicians. |
